In contrast to the sturm und drang that previous debt ceiling debates, the House of Representatives approved a clean debt ceiling increase last night with little acrimony and no special conditions, according to USA Today. The measure was approved 221-201, with 193 Democrats and 28 Republicans, and allows the government to continue borrowing through March 15, 2015, said USA Today.
